Each counselling session is 50 minutes long. I will start by asking you to describe what has brought you to therapy. Often this can unmask some deep rooted and uncomfortable emotions. It is important to give space and time to explore these feelings, however challenging it may be. I will always be guided by you as the client and we will investigate issues together, at your own pace. I will always give 5 - 10 minutes warning before the end of the session and I encourage all clients to have a few minutes at the end of each session for themselves before resuming normal life.
I will always treat everything you tell me with the greatest respect. I recognise that it can be really hard to talk to someone about your problems. I always aim to be understanding, warm and empathetic.
The main modality I use is Attachment-based psychotherapy. Click here to see the problems I work with.
